Applying for the program is quick and easy and can be done online or in-person at any Long Beach city library. The deadline for applications is April 18, and versions of the application are available in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Khmer, and Tagalog. To ensure fairness, a lottery system will be used to select participants, with 24 out of the 35 available bikes reserved for low-income applicants. The remaining 11 bikes will be open to all Long Beach residents.
