The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is taking a bold step towards promoting clean and renewable transportation by launching a rebate program for electric bikes. Under the “Electrify My Ride” initiative, eligible customers can receive a $1,000 rebate towards the purchase of an electric bike at participating locations.

The SFPUC has partnered with six local bike stores for the rebate program, including “The Bike Connection”. The “Electrify My Ride” program is available to customers enrolled in low-income discount programs through CleanPowerSF and Hetch Hetchy Power, residing in equity priority communities. The program, which launched on February 5, will run until April 20. Participating stores include The Bike Connection, Mike’s Bikes of San Francisco, The New Wheel Electric Bikes, Ocean Cyclery, and Sports Basement Bryant Street.
